The 'SCANLESS' errors all have the same cause, are uncommon and indicate that reputation data for a specific file couldn't be gathered. Regarding the 'ntdll' error, I'm starting to think that there may be a compatibility problem between NIS 2011 and Norton Save and Restore 2.0. I do think the date and time indicated in the report points at the same time I rebooted the system. Could someone please explain what all this means? get redirected here The only thing that concerns me is under "Advanced details", it sometimes says "Severity : High" or "Critical".
This triggers the 'hsui' error. As the error is not written to the Symantec Error Reporting log in real time, take note of the time that you performed the action above. Regards. To me it looks like you didn't get a clean install of the product possibly to not having removed the prior product completely or perhaps some malware prevented the clean install. Solved. https://community.norton.com/en/forums/seeing-error-messages-norton-error-reporting I also wonder if you might have some error reports stuck in a queue and still pending submission even though you've disabled NCW. You could try a forced manual NWC submission These data gets collected and whenever the live update is run we get these data at our symantec server. There is a setting called "Norton Community Watch" in our product, when If everything is working and NIS is not showing you any error dialogs then you should be fine.
I've brought this to the appropriate team's attention. his comment is here Since you've updated to the 17.7 version you may not encounter this issue anymore. Like caleb89sw said we can help you in the future if you do have problems. The earliest 'NCW' is due to a very busy system.
There are some possible solutions for this but I'm not sure if we can make the problem go away altogether. I see that it was reported for the 17.6 product. While documenting the SCANLESS issue I just noticed that your system has made six more submissions and they're all for this issue. this contact form I just got a high severity error reported.
FWIW, I have errors reported in my Security History on both of my systems as well. It also is a start-up problem and may, or may not, be timing related. Solved. Thanks for all your help. NIS 2011 has been installed on this PC for less than a week.
Take note of the module offsets in the current entries and if they keep occurring, let me know. If the problem persists, try disabling Norton Community Watch (Settings | General | Other Settings) to see if this stops the Symantec Error Reporting submissions.I would also suggest that you run Urgent Customer Issues If you are experiencing an issue that needs urgent assistance please visit our customer support area: Chat with Norton Support @NortonSupport on Twitter Who's online There are currently navigate here No need to reinstall the product.
